Welcome Reception & AI Movie
The Welcome Reception will take place at Grand Ballroom B, 3rd Floor, EXCO, welcoming participants from around the world. The event features a Mini Chimac Party, offering Korea’s famous combination of fried chicken and beer, a culture that originated in Daegu. Participants can enjoy a variety of foods, desserts, and beverages in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The reception will also include a short AI Movie screening, showcasing creative works related to AI and media art. It will be a wonderful opportunity to meet fellow participants and begin the conference with a lively and memorable evening.
Gala Dinner
The IEEE VR 2026 Gala Dinner will be held on March 24 at the 5F Convention Hall, EXCO. The evening will begin with a Korean traditional liquor tasting and an authentic Korean cuisine experience, offering participants a taste of local culture. Part I of the program features a traditional Korean performance that highlights the country’s artistic heritage. In Part II, the atmosphere shifts to a lively K-POP × DJ collaboration, including K-POP dance and a DJ party. The gala dinner is designed to provide participants with both cultural insight and an enjoyable networking experience in a vibrant setting.
Sudal-e App
IEEE VR 2026 will also feature a social app to be enjoyed and played by the attendees called the "SuDal-E". The game features how XR technology could be used to promote environmental awareness and protection. "Sudal" means otter in Korean, which is the mascot of the city of Daegu and IEEE VR 2026. E stands for "E"nvironment.
This interactive AR application brings the critical issue of environmental pollution to life through the story of our endangered otters. As a user, you will embark on an immersive mission to rescue otters and purify their habitats from pollution, eventually building a sanctuary of your own.
Join us in raising awareness and learning the vital ecological values needed for a sustainable future, one SuDal at a time.
