Osaka Gourmet Night

The Osaka Gourmet Night is a special dinner entertainment for IEEE VR 2019. Dinner will be held with in “Kuromon Market” in the evening of March 26. Kuromon Market is one of the largest and most famous markets in Kansai area and are usually crowded with local customers and visitors. There are approximately 150 restaurants and grocery shops along the street. This time the whole space of 580m has been reserved, which is probably the longest in the history of IEEE VR. We hope you’ll be looking forward to it.

How to reach Kuromon Market?

There are two options below; bus and subway.

• Option 1: We have prepared 10 buses to take 450 participants from abroad to the Kuromon market from the conference venue. Please come to the ground floor of the conference venue just after the last session of the day, 25 March. Toward the main stage (described with star icon in the map) from the bus stop, please walk east for one block and cross south at a pedestrian crossing.
• Option 2: We also recommend to use the local subway that has direct connection to the closest station to Kuromon market, Nippombashi Station, from Awaza Station. Then, please walk to the main stage. Since the number of buses is limited, we would ask participants living in Japan to come the market by themselves using subway or other ways.

After the Kuromon Market

There are three options;

1. Go to Osaka Karaoke Night
   • From around 20:00, we will move to the Karaoke place from two spots in the Kuromon Market, where are marked with green icons in the above map. Please do not miss the announcement and follow conference student volunteers. If you miss to follow us, please check the route described in the above map.
2. Go back by bus
   • From around 20:00, 5 buses for 225 people will be available to go to Namba Station, Rihga Royal Hotel, and Osaka Station. We give priority to participants from abroad.
3. Go back by yourselves
   • Enjoy Osaka night!!
